Day 10
Scrambled out of our brunch spot to get some coffee and a pastry instead.
Another view of the Ponte Vecchio
Line for tickets for the Uffizi is long but seemingly moving quickly.
From the time we got in line to when we got into the museum was only about an hour. We had a 20 minute gap between getting tickets and the actual entrance time.
The museum was huge, we got to see art from all of the big hitters: Da Vinci, Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, etc.
An early Michaelangelo piece
One of Da Vinci's unfinished pieces
Of course, more pizza.
Took the bus and a tram out to yet another card shop to try and find something I could bring back as a souvenir. Before, we stopped at a cafe across the street for more midday espresso and pastries.
And we got em
The card shop was the best I'd been to outside of Japan. They had awesome displays and TONS of cards and collectibles. The shop is run by a family, with the owner being a former competitive magic player. The store definitely focused on Pokemon but had tons of single magic cards to look at.
I'm enjoying going to TCG stores all over the world and getting a feel for what makes a good shop.
Japanese dinner - gyoza (forgot to take a picture of our seaweed + tofu salad), ramen, chicken teriyaki, dessert of matcha tiramisu.
Highlight of the day: spoke in Japanese to the person at the restaurant since I can't speak italian and they said my japanese was very good.
Wrong gyoza pic lol
View from the bridge at night
Going to miss Florence, this was such a beautiful and unique city.
