For some reason at dinner decided to bring out the big guns and ask for the check in Italian, to the server who'd been talking to us in english the entire time.
Butchered the pronunciation and the server clearly thought it was a hilarious attempt
For dinner we decided to walk down the street to a place called Fieramosca Roma. We had seen it earlier in the day and it looked very cute. To our surprise as we walked up to the restaurant, our hotel and restaurant owner, Roberto was standing outside! The restaurant is located in the cellar of 16th century building in the Merchants Square of Trastevere. This is also where the aforementioned “conto/conte” incident took place
